Olive Tree Surgery combines the freshness of a new up-and-coming business with the knowledge of an experienced arborist.

Alfonso, the director of the company, came to Scotland to study Plants and Soil Science and stayed to practice Arboriculture. His love for plants and nature drove him to start a career in farming, but his passion for trees made him dive into the Tree Care industry. Having worked for Tree Care companies all over the central belt and Scottish Borders, Alfonso decided to set up Olive Tree Surgery to pursue what he believes true Arboriculture should mean.

At Olive Tree Surgery we believe Arboriculture is both an art and a science. A foundation for the practice of arboriculture is a thorough understanding of how trees grow. We believe a skilled arborist should know how a tree grows and be able to manage it in a way that supports and enhances its healthy growth and development.

At Olive Tree Surgery, before we carry out any kind of work, we like to diagnose problems, assess potential, lay out an plan and carry it out in the safest way possible. We are firm believers that prescription before diagnosis is malpractice.

We take on all aspects of tree work, from the lightest of prunes to the biggest removals. Every tree deserves its own approach, and our main principles are tree preservation and hazard control.
